The Linux helper VMs will default to DHCP, which can be a complete disaster (as DHCP usually is)
The clue to set the helper VM IPs solved my problem, so a million thanks!

This is helpful. Should I be able to ping or ssh to the Helper VM? My migration seems to get stuck at 1%, so I would like to log into the Helper VM to see if there are any issues. It will not let me login with either root or user via the console.
