I’ve been looking into how to get free Apps and stuff for the iPod Touch, and I found that for most things I need this SSH thing to get said apps. Does anyone know of any good free SSH clients? CuteFTP has a free trial, but I don’t know if that will be a permenant solution.

I am tired of having to plug my ipod into my computer to put new music on it. I was wondering how i could do this using ssh. I would also rather it be put on the music app not something like dTunes.

I am trying to edit the information and pictures to a club website using SSH secure shell. I have been able to access the website but cannot delete any information that is already on it or add any files onto it. Is there something wrong with my settings? or is there something blocking my access to the website?

I am creating a script to be run by cron to sync my ftp servers files. My issue is when the script run, it asks for the ssh password. Since it is run at 1am by cron, so I obviously don’t want to enter the password. I have made rsa & dsa keys for my servers but if a reboot occurs , it doesn’t automatically connect. Is there a way to insert the password when it is asked or another method to let these two server connect without a password authentication.

once you jailbreak you ipod touch your battery lenght becoms less. in order to make it longer, you have to turn the ssh off…

my question is…what is ssh and how does it affect my ipod touch battery? and if i do turn the ssh, off what cant i do?

side question- wut is a lenuix or sonthing like that

Hey everyone,

I just got a new android tablet pc, but since it cant use heavy programs, I was thinking that i could just use an ssh terminal (in the tablet), with the “X thingy” to open windows and such, in order to work on my tablet, but all the hard processing would be done on my laptop at home.

How can I Configure both terminals to perform such a task? or is it even possible?

I have CoreFTP on my Vista 32 laptop, and NES, BSD Subsystem, and OpenSSH on the phone, how do you connect SSH to the iPhone to transmit the ROM’s?

My computer that uses WiFi just crashed, and the only other one has cable internet. It’s the computer that transmits the WiFi but isn’t connected to it. When I tried to go in WinSCP, which I successfully used on my other computer, It won’t work. Is there still a way to SSH to my iPod?
