Generate Encrypted Password for /etc/shadow

Submitted by on September 16, 2012 – 12:46 pm 4 Comments

Here is a simple way to generate an encrypted password string for use in Linux /etc/shadow, among other things. This is just in case you don’t wish to use the usual tools for changing the password (passwd, chpasswd).

echo "mypassword" | openssl passwd -1 -stdin

Can you give me source code for log in for visual basic? for example. Before I can access that program, I must log-in first .It will pop up and will give the log in box or something like that with log in on it.

I have a website that allows a user to create an account, however, there is no way for the user to change the password.

I would like to have the user enter:
    1. existing username
    2. old password
    3. new password
    4. confirm new password

Does anyone have the HTML and php code for something like this? Its a mysql database called “users.”

    Thanks!

For example, a .txt file or word file. Or possibly password protect a folder?
    Any help is much appreciated.
